Grupa Azoty introduces Tarfuse® AM - a line of antibacterial filaments
At the beginning of March 2020, Grupa Azoty S.A., one of the largest chemical concerns in Europe, announced its entry into the 3D printing industry, presenting its proprietary line of 3D printing materials used in FDM / FFF technology. In its offer, apart from basic and technical filaments, the manufacturer has also introduced antibacterial filaments, which, due to their properties, can find a number of applications, especially in 3D printing of everyday products, where the priority is to counteract the growth of microorganisms on their surface (e.g. printouts intended for children, such as toys or toy elements, details that come into contact with a large number of people, such as handles, switches, or details working in an environment with high susceptibility to the development of microorganisms, e.g. with high humidity).
